Governor’s Mansion to receive new roof

Posted on April 4th, 2011 No Comments

The Governor’s Mansion in Austin, Texas has been in the middle of a restoration project since October and it reached a breaking point last week when the temporary roof was removed.

Now that the temporary roof is removed, this will let the new roof be shown and allow workers to begin working on the inside of the home.  The new roof was built underneath the temporary one in order to protect the inside from the weather.

The new roof was finished about a week ago and now crews can now begin to work on plumbing, flooring, lighting and electricity. These repairs are coming after the fire that occurred at the mansion in June 2008 when someone almost burned the house to the ground using a Molotov Cocktail. All of the renovations to the mansion have cost about $26 million.

If you or your family are looking for a new roof or are in need of roofing repairs, contact the Austin composition shingles roofers of AAA Mustang Roofing today by calling 512-650-9866 today.
